10 Day Educational Tour

Minimum of 6 people per group

Our 10 Day educational tour will take place at locations in the Waterberg & Kruger National Park.

DAY 1:


Pietersberg Camp near Kruger Park

Itinerary:

  • Arrive in South Africa & transfer
  • Meet and greet at Johannesburg OR Thambo airport & transfer to Pietersberg Camp near Kruger National Park
  • Eat, relax and camp orientation
  • Discuss programme ahead with your guides and enjoy first night under an Africa sky…


DAY 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7:


Kruger National Park

Itinerary:

  • Areas of learning: Conservation – Environmental awareness – Culture – History
  • Enter Park
  • Enter KNP and traverse the length of the Park in the ‘footsteps of Ogg the Baboon’
  • Accommodation – Will be in a different camp-site area every night
  • Field Studies
  • Wildlife: Big 5: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino identification and behaviour study
  • Other wildlife and bird ID and behaviour studies
  • Field Studies
  • Grassland, shrub and tree ID and study of medicinal uses
  • Culture
  • Zulu & Shangaan culture study
  • History
  • KNP & environmental history
  • Astronomy
  • Night navigation & constellation identification


DAY 8 & 9:


Kruger National Park & Marietzcop View

Itinerary:

  • Areas of learning: Environmental – Historical – Cultural – Reptile Course
  • Exit KNP
  • Exit the Nation Park at Crocodile Bridge Gate
  • Gods window
  • Traverse the panoramic area of Gods Window & The 3 Rondavels
  • Reptile Course
  • Complete a one day reptile course with hands on experience
  • Rehabilitation Centre
  • Learning experience at animal rehabilitation centre


DAY 10:

Itinerary:

  • Breakfast, pack and return to Johannesburg OR Thambo airport
  • Time to travel home…
